Laila Afelad

Laila graduated with a master’s degree in law in the spring of 2013, specialising in international law, including a specialisation in the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Laila has worked as a counsellor for the Norwegian Child Welfare Service and has good experience from child welfare work. She wrote her master’s thesis on ‘Minority children’s rights in foster care placement – in light of the Convention on the Rights of the Child’.

Laila joined Advokatfirmaet Bratlien in 2021 as an associate, and after two years as an employee, she became a lawyer and general manager of the firm.

Laila mainly works with the areas of criminal law, child protection and child custody.
